Abortion is not your only pregnancy option. If you are feeling pressured or having reservations about abortion, know that you have two other options: adoption and parenting. We’re here to give you more insight into both so you can make a confident pregnancy decision.
More About Adoption
You have adoption options. As the birth mother, you can choose an adoption plan that works for your lifestyle and how much contact you have with your child. Choose from three adoption plans, including:
- Open Adoption: Open adoption allows the birth mother to choose the child’s adoptive family and form a relationship with them. Direct communication can happen through phone calls, letters, or regular visits.
- Semi-Open Adoption: Semi-open adoption allows the birth mother to have contact with the adoptive family through a third party, such as an adoption agency or an attorney.
- Closed Adoption: Closed adoption is the most private type of adoption. It ensures that all identifying records are sealed. The birth mother remains anonymous, with no contact between her and the adoptive family.
In addition to selecting how much contact you have, you can also decide if you want to choose the adoptive family and set other terms. You, as the birth mother, get to decide what’s best. If interested, talk with us today about this pregnancy option, and we can refer you to a reputable agency to answer your questions.
